Here’s how I would do community at Locker :)
College Ambassador Program
Here’s why:
College students are a perfect target audience for Locker. (One of many perfect target audiences)
College campuses are much more localized making it easier to create brand awareness versus finding a few ambassadors to create brand awareness throughout an entire city.
Colleges are a community within themselves— a community of students going through similar life events at the same time making it more likely they will hear out brand ambassadors because they are their friends, peers, etc.
If positioned as a marketing opportunity in Fashion Tech, college students would be eager to gain tangible marketing experience they can leverage for their careers. This also means the ones who are right for the job will take it seriously!
Community Highlights
Reaching out to loyal Locker users and asking to highlight their favorite Locker collections they’ve built on our socials. Think of it as a way to make users feel special. Maybe we even ask them a few questions about what inspired the collection they built and what trends they’ve been loving (I’m obsessed with the way Dream Baby Press interviews people).
Social Listening
Social listening platforms can be expensive, but maybe a Community Manager could be the designated person to do manual social listening. *wink wink*
And maybe they could also conduct community calls with Locker users to hear what they are loving and what else they’d love to see. A deep sense of community stems from feeling involved!
